    Right-clicking on an image within Internet Explorer and selecting "Show Original Image" allows you to view the original image. Selecting "Show All Original Images" allows you to view all original images on the entire web page.

    Right-click on the TurboUSA Web Accelerator taskbar icon and select "Settings". Select the "Image Quality" tab. Adjust the slider bar to the desired image quality setting. Press OK to save the changes.

    Internet Explorer is automatically configured to use the TurboUSA Web Accelerator. Use Internet Explorer as you normally would.

  • How do I use other browsers with the TurboUSA Web Accelerator?

    Netscape Navigator is automatically configured to use the TurboUSA Web Accelerator. Use Netscape as you normally would. For other browsers, such as Opera and Mozilla, the TurboUSA Web Accelerator works with any web browser that allows you to specify an HTTP proxy. You must set the HTTP proxy host to be "127.0.0.1" and the port number to be the local listening port of the TurboUSA Client (5400 by default). Consult your browser's documentation for information on how this can be done.

  • Does the TurboUSA Web Accelerator speed up email access?

    Yes, TurboUSA automatically accelerates your email traffic (POP3 and SMTP) for all popular email clients such as Eudora, Outlook, Outlook Express and Netscape Mail. Other email clients should work transparently as well.

  • Does the TurboUSA Web Accelerator speed up my secure (HTTPS) transactions such as web banking?

    The TurboUSA Web Accelerator does not accelerate secure transactions. Secure web sites will continue to work by bypassing the acceleration component. If you have a Secure application that you would like accelerated, inquire about the TurboUSA Secure product.

However, setup is complicated and Microsoft no longer provides support for this older operating system. Likewise, TurboUSA does not provide technical support for Windows 3.1. Your best bet is to upgrade to a newer computer.

  • Does TurboUSA offer dedicated access or static IP's?
